Current Programs & Ministries

  • Youth Ministry - Our youth enjoy a number of activities throughout the year including skating, trips to the theatre, movies and our older teens enjoy an annual Christian Youth Rally.
  • Sunday School / Bible Study - Each Sunday at 9:00am - classes for young and old gather at 9:00am to learn and have fun. We have classes for pre-K through 9th grade and all are welcome. Adult Bible Class led by Pastor Vern Bryant.
  • New Christians class - taught by TC Foltz, is also available each Sunday morning at 9am.
  • The Adult Choir joins together after service on Sunday for rehearsal. Please join us!
  • St. Georges has a very active United Methodist Women group.  Annual activities include Angel Food Ministry, a spring banquet to benefit a local womens charity, participation in the Adopt A Family program at Christmas time, and much much more!
  • The United Methodist Men of St. Georges is growing in number and spirituality. They have a Bible Study and discuss ways in which they can serve God and their churh.

Youth Ministry

Children’s Easter Celebration

   Easter Egg Hunt/Games/Pizza
Saturday, April 3, 2010, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Please join us for a community Easter Egg Hunt at the St. Georges Historical Society, 200 North Main Street, North St. Georges, followed by pizza, fun and games at St. Georges United Methodist Church, 109 North Broad Street. Shake hands and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Then, after the Easter Egg Hunt, walk two short blocks to the church, where friendly volunteers will be ready to greet you with stories, food, face painting, crafts and games. 

 Calling all Kids!

We’re looking for YOU! Come join us for YOUth Group get-togethers Friday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Like to sing? Mr. Bing will again be leading our YOUth Choir. The first part of our Friday night get-togethers will be filled with music. The second part of the evening is reserved for a little prayer and a little (or lots of) playing. During this Lenten season, we’ll be talking about the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. Time passes quickly - good fun, good fellowship.

So won’t YOU please join us for fun Friday evenings beginning this Friday? Mr. Bing and Ms. Nancy will be here to greet you. Hope you’ll join us.

Friendship Star Quilters

We have been very busy trying to use up all the wonderful fabrics that have been donated. We have given away over 58 quilts last year, most to Quilts for Comfort, but some to people we know in our area and congregation. If you know of any child or adult that is facing a long-term illness, let us know and we can give you a quilt to help comfort them.  We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.  See Calendar of Events for Dates.

Christian Theater

The Christmas show is presented the weekend before Thanksgiving and the Easter musical is presented on Palm Sunday weekend. Our members come from all walks of life and are quite a dedicated bunch! We are proud to bring all of our performances to the stage of the Historic Everett Theatre in Middletown, Delaware.
