Welcome!

St. Georges United Methodist Church is a welcoming congregation located on the north side of the C & D Canal. Each Sunday we are inspired to take the message of God's redeeming love to those beyond the church walls. We invite you to come and share in our worship experience on Sunday mornings at 10:00am.

 

Our children, youth, and adult Sunday school classes begin at 9:00am. We invite you to come and share in our learning of the Scriptures. Please check out our program page for more details about how St. Georges serves it members and community. 

 

 

Disaster Relief in Chile! Please Continue to pray for the people!

Please keep the people and communities affected by the earthquake in Chile and those affected by the resulting tsunami in prayer during your worship services.

Bishop Johnson is requesting that our churches support the UMCOR response in Chile by taking up a special offering. Checks should be made our to our church, Make Reference in the Memo "Disaster Relief".   As usual, every penny that is contributed to this United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Advance will go directly to helping the people of Chile.  Thank You

Sunday

Prayers for the community, the community of St. Georges, the United Methodist Church Conference, the global community, all church and world leaders, world events. Also prayers for the worship service, church ministries, Bibles studies, Sunday school, as well as those who are seeking to know Christ.

 

Monday

Prayers for all church business and committees. Prayers for all committee groups and their tasks as well as the decisions that they are in the process of making. That includes Church Council, Finance, Missions, Angel Food Ministries, Evangelism, SPRC, Trustees, UMW, UMM, Youth Ministry, and Choir.

 

Tuesday

Prayers for the youth of the church and their families. Prayers for the Youth Council, their goals, and their programs. Prayers for all families that attend. Also prayers for the Bible Study that takes place on this day.

 

Wednesday

Prayers for those who are on the prayer list as well as those who are shut-in, in the hospital, in nursing homes, facing surgery, recovering from surgery, in need of healing, and unspoken requests. Also prayers for the Bible Study that takes place on this day.

 

Thursday

Personal prayers for a greater understanding to know God’s will as well as a deeper walk with God. Prayers for a greater understanding for the Biblical Scriptures and their meaning.

 

Friday

Prayers for the future ministries of the church, the future plans of the church, as well as prayers that we are good stewards over all that God has entrusted to us.

 

Saturday
Prayers of thanksgiving. Prayers to thank God for strength, guidance, and the completion of another week. Prayers that God will give new insight as we prepare to enter a new week.

 

Current Programs

Sunday School / Bible Study - Classes for all ages gather at 9:00am to learn and have fun. We have classes for pre-K through 9th grade, Adults Classes and all are welcome.
